Shopping on Sixth Avenue

Posted by

A gorgeous photo of shoppers on Sixth Avenue in front of Siegel Cooper Department Store in 1903. The El train is going by overhead. In the foreground you can see the horse cab driver with his top hat. You may notice ever single person is wearing a hat. Those light fixtures in front of the entrance are still there. The building is now shared by Bed, Bath and Beyond, TJ Max and Marshalls.
